Living in and Loathing Las Vegas! (very long)

Why don't you straighten Brad out and tell him to stop banging the keys?
Because he is with you, some people think it is the cool thing to do....not!

I don't know how old you are (or what sex you are) - but when you get to my age, you will realize that it isn't easy - may be impossible - to "straighten out" a 71-year-old man - or even some a lot younger! Brad got in this habit a long time ago, and when I mention it, he does soften his touch for a few minutes - but then forgets and returns to his default pounding, especially if he is losing!

When I start banging the keys I take that as a sure sign it is time
to get up for awhile.

A sure sign of a results oriented mind set which in advantage gaming
is BIG trouble psycologically speaking.

positive expectancy and its results are a direct product of proper
exicution of sound methodologies and nothing more.

you cant effectively push a horse but you can effectively lead one.
and its imposible to teach one to spell correctly

I think you would have to know Brad personally to understand his pounding. He (and I) have been advantage gambling for about 24 years, doing it in casinos for about 19. Started out with Tonk at the Moose Lodge, then BJ in casinos. We started playing VP about 1989. In those 24 years we have had only one losing year - 2002 and that was a very small loss, about one royal down. However, we have had some extremely long losing spells and they are never as much fun as the winning streaks. However, we have always had faith in the math, never strayed from correct strategy, and have an extremely lucrative gambling career over all those years. So I agree with you about "execution of sound methodologies."

However, we are still just human beings. Brad bangs away like he is killing snakes when he is playing VP - he really acts like he is fighting the machine. Actually I am glad to see him passionate about playing VP - usually he is so low-key he frequently falls asleep in the midst of something I am very excitable about. (No, I'm not referring to "fun in the room.") But once he leaves VP for that day or that session, he turns back into a mild-mannered relaxed person, even if he has lost thousands of dollars.

I never tried too hard to teach my English class students to spell correctly. I taught them to use the dictionary!!! And if I were still teaching, I would teach them how to use SpellCheck!!
