Thanks for the poker info, folks. I guess I am the "lurker" I'll be
going up the first week in August. The Colorado Belle seems to emerge
as the favorite. I played there on a one day Vegas bus trip and liked
it so I'll definitely try there. I especially liked the information
that the Trop has more regulars. It is hard to walk into a game if
everyone knows everyone else and plays daily against them. Perhaps in
August and with the gas crunch this is a given everywhere anyway. But
the more I can mix it up, the better chance I have at winning or at
least not getting trapped between a rock and a hard place that knows him.

Well you lost your lurker status. I have never played live poker myself. I
would probably enjoy a quick tourney. I have done the low level BJ tourneys
offered over the years. CB used have a real fun daily one.

I noticed the online room rates for CB have gone up. August used to be
$15/$42 when it showed up online. Now most days are $20/$56 for August.

Re: hotel prices.

I scored some free rooms using a friend's comps. So have 4 free
nights, two at River Palms and 2 at Aquarius.

Before that, I was going to go to Edgewater using the Tripres deal
that is still available. It always says it is good just for that day,
but it has been there a month. They would have given me 19-45-45-19
Thursday thru Sunday and thrown in $20 freeplay. Pretty good for just
a deal on based on no play. I think the River Palms was a bit cheaper
but no free play. Also they are so far out and I won't have a car so
if I were going to pay for the rooms, I'd want them to be more center
strip.
