I don't understand the 1/2 price meal deal mon-thur. Do you have to
use your comp points and then the rest of your bill is 1/2? Or
anybody with a club card gets a 1/2 price meal mon-thur?

This is an improvement in the cashback at the Coast casinos. But
there may be a downside they don't mention. Specifically, I'm
wondering if they will continue to offer "double points" days. If
they don't, there won't be any positive "cash back" playing
opportunites at the SunCoast, except for DW at 99.73%. With cash
back comps at .30, the return becomes 100.03%, but is less than 100%
for all the other "best" games.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the food comp offer is 1/2 price
(2000 points = $12 in food comps), then I believe the food comp rate
increased from .30 to .60. That's the equilivant of the food comp
return on a double points day.

Well, they have three double days scheduled for May. So far, so good.

Are all the former different Coast card points transferable to the new Coast Club Card? If so, have they already been transfered and updated?

I enjoyed your report. Nicely done.

You mentioned that you did not get the double points advertised in
the MSS marketing offer. Could you elaborate on the how or why of
this?

It was my first time on a point multiplier offer at MSS and others may be able to answer more definitively. If bonus points are awarded post trip, as some point offers are awarded elsewhere, then I am mistaken. Points seemed to accumulate at the standard dollar per point. Maybe the host who took my promotional letter didn't note the multiplier? I'm not sure and didn't have the time to take it up with anyone before we checked out. If I take them up on another similar offer, I'll ask a few questions at the slot desk to make sure I'm not missing out on anything.

Nice report. I took that drive on real old RT66 through Oatman last
Summer. That road is fun.

MSS offers (letters and postcards) have in the fine print that the X-
times will be added after the fact (48 hours).

So does anyone have any decent marketing offers from MSS for this
Summer? The only valid one I have is that two nights/$29 one that
everyone seemed to get. No yellow postcards or letters have been
found in my mail.

Yes, all the points were consolidated some time ago (I think about 8-
10 weeks ago). If you had points at 2 or more Coast casinos I would
verify the consolidation was done correctly. So far, there haven't
been any complaints (on this board) that it was done incorrectly. I
think it depends on whether your name (and probably address also) is
identical at each casino.

I raised the possibility that "double points" days might be dropped,
but evidently not (3 in May anyway). That means, for people who use
food comps a lot, the playing situation is much improved.

For example, there are lots of DW (16/10) games at 99.73%. The
normal accrual rate is .30%, but on double points days it is .60%.
But on 1/2 price food days, the effective rate doubles to 1.20% in
terms of meals purchased, for a "effective" return of 100.93%. For
the SunCoast, that's good. And that doesn't even consider the
coupons in the monthly mailers.

I hope my math is correct! The problem, of course, is only 3 days a
month at double points, and 1/2 price meals only Monday thru
Thursday.

Supposedly, all info from each casino under the old system should be
consolidated into one new account with the new card. However, I
know several people who have indicated that the transfer has not
been wholly accurate. Best to check carefully to be sure.

I liked it a lot. Think of the folks who used to drive it in those
old cars when 66 was a working highway --no power steering, bad
breaks, over heated engines.

Thanks. Thought this might be the case but wasn't sure.

Last was for June, very similar to the April offer.

I just got a yellow postcard from MSS for three free nights in June
plus 2x points, and I haven't set foot in the place in about 2 1/2
years. No food credits, though. The fine print says "double points
will be added within five days of end of promotion".

Nice offer, but I will never stay in that place again.
