I had played short coin JOB 9/6 @98.37% VAR 4.9, and PKM short coin
@98.95% VAR 12. JOB strategy was adjusted to short coin from full
coin. I hve concluded that my bankroll limitation at this time
requires short coin. I use WinPoker for strategy and practice. My question is this if I have $100 per trip, how long should I stay at
a machine(.25) before changing. I realize this is subjective, but am
looking for input how someone who has been around would attack the
situation.Thanking all in advance.

Congrats on figuring out your cost of short coin fun, 1% for PE and 1.4% for
Jacks. I don't know what they do in Michigan but some joints want "time on
the clock", as well as coin-in for mail/comps. The Venitian probably is the
most prominent, wanting 4 hrs/day. So short coin will help in this aspect in
some joints. Any Harrahs outlet for the Total Rewards also has "time served" as
an element for the bonus points that you earn.
As far as when to switch machines it should be the other factors that
determine a move. Sticky buttons, bad screen, cocktail service, stinky neighbor,
crappy chair, noisy slot next to you or just plain bad karma go into the weighted
average equation of "FUN".
A paytable is a paytable for VP. We all, after awhile, have a favorite
machine in a given casino. I can think of the River Palms in Laughlin. One FPDW
in the non-smoking area, good drink service, slant-top, can hear the music (if
no one plays a MASH slot), floor attendant has a station near-by. Your move.

I never really examined short coin 9/6 Jacks. So what are the first moves in
the strategy? Top of my head I would save any two Hi over two suited with a
ten.
Does PE have changes for short coin? Nothing jumps out.
