Composed the following letter for my wife's signature which we
mailed to Foxwoods:
"Alex Rodriguez,
Executive Director Slot Operations
Foxwoods Resort Casino
Rt. 2 PO Box 3777
Mashantucket, CT 06338
Dear Mr. Rodriguez,
I am writing to you with the hope than I will be able to
play more at Foxwoods. I generally play video slots at Mohegan Sun
and Las Vegas. I prefer slots play at Foxwoods to Mohegan Sun in
several ways (luckier, more variety and better lounges), in spite of
receiving Sagamore perks at Mohegan Sun. However, my husband is a
$1.00 video poker ("VP") player and it is seldom that I can get him
to go to Foxwoods, because the Sun has vastly superior VP
offerings. He tells me they have over 100 9/6 Jacks or Better
machines as well as Pick Em in quarters, dollars and fives and 8/5
Super Aces.
We are not suggesting that you "copycat" the Sun's VP
offerings. My husband considers Jacks and Pick Em somewhat boring,
and, as these are easy games, the casino's hold must be inadequate.
However if you were to introduce his favorite Vegas game of NSU
Deuces, perhaps in the new IGT Anything's Wild format (which should
up the casino's hold), my slot playing girlfriends and I could get
our VP playing husbands to visit more. Another game he suggests is
$1.00 9/5 Double Jokers which you have in quarters.
We realize that a casino is a profit making enterprise and
good VP is less profitable, but consider whether the lack of it may
be sacrificing incremental slot revenues. Thank you for your time
and consideration.
Sincerely yours,"
