Hi Phina,
If you remember, I told you that I was irritated with something that happened
last week. Here are the details:
I "ran into" an acquaintance of mine in Ballys. He was upset because he had
tried to get two comp tickets for Beatlemania and was denied. This guy had just
recovered from a major illness so I asked him to give me his card and I would
see what I could do.
I phoned Brooke( covering host for the day) ,gave her the background, and after
looking up his play she told me that he didn't qualify for comp tickets. Fine.
I then asked her if I qualified and she said that I did. When I asked if he
could have my comp tickets she said that I had to pick them up in person on the
date requested. Well that wouldn't work but I accepted the answer. Now comes
the "irritating" part.
I asked Brooke what the price of the tickets would be and she informed me
that they were $25/each. Ok, I told her take $50 out of my comp account and
purchase two tickets for my friend. She informed me that she couldn't ! I
inquired as to why not and she said that I could use the comp ( if I picked them
up on the date) but that I wasn't allowed to purchase them ! I was incredulous
! What is my comp account for ? What about being a "valued customer" as a
seven star player ? I realize that this isn't Brooke's fault but rather the
stupidity of company policy. Another in a growing list of reasons why HET is
sinking low on my( and other players) desirability list.
