Come on!

The first thing everyone needs to understand is that even though
these Native Americans got their butts whooped by a bunch of drunken
American cowboys, no one says that we were right in doing so. But
it's time to stop guzzling the firewater, stop overeating the fry
bread, get over it and move on. The Injuns, however, are thoroughly
enjoying what they're doing to the US population with their casinos.
How many people's lives have been ruined by playing in these totally
Sovereign places that set slot & video poker machines anywhere in the
lower to mid 80's. And to top it all off, even though most injuns are
extreme drunks, they charge outrageous prices for patrons to buy
drinks. That's what I call a conflict of interest. Reading about
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun further exacerbates the overall situation,
and I've read where it's not quite--but nearly the same, up in
Minnesota where that big casino is. The top 20 or so
Indian 'executives' are getting very wealthy from the huge profits
they make, they stiff most of the employees (except their mistresses--
who still get stiffed) who still live in shanties, and they pay off
the white men who can cover up for them when needed.

Bottom line: These people now prey on the weak. Only the country's
biggest fools would ever gamble their own money inside one of these
places. And there seems to be plenty of fools. Indian gaming alone's
revenue is more than triple that of all other forms of entertainment
in this country today--and that included normal gambling locations.
So who gets the last laugh?

Well said. Agree 100%. I was looking into playing
some Hold'Em on Partypoker.com for money, but I find
that it too is Indian. Screw that.

I wonder if all of these online Hold'Em sites where
all these young guns are coming from, winnning entries
to WPT and World Series, are Injun sites?

IIRC, several of the online poker sites use the physical
facilities on a Canadian indian reservation for logistical
and administrative purposes, but I'm not aware of any of
the major sites having any significant indian ownership.

In any event, as long as the major poker sites offer fair
games, which I believe they do, the ownership isn't
particularly relevant IMO.

You never know, but look for the layout of fresh scalps every Monday
