The Nevada Gaming Board reported that of the $48.1 million worth of
drinks served in Laughlin, 70% of that was given away. This is a higher
percentage than all of Las Vegas. The strip in Las Vegas actually
sold more liquor than they gave away.I have never paid for a drink in Laughlin or Las Vegas, and I don't
plan on starting. I have bought a bottle of wine with dinner, so I
guess that would be included in that 30% figure.

That 30%...I bet about half of that occurs during 4 days at the end of April.
Can anyone say River Run.
Is there bottle service at all in Laughlin? Heck, is there a cover charge
anywhere in Laughlin? Maybe a cover at Tarzans at GNL or Losers Lounge at the
Riverside?
I think the biggest historical regular cover is for a Monday Night football
party. I think the Edgewater let you in with a $20 bet (which you could
minimize with a contrary bet) or River Palms had a $10 cash/comp in the past for
the Bermuda Club.
Maybe the Nascar Partys at CB?

Back to the subject- I still twitch when people buy beers/cocktails with real
money. Don't they know if they sit down and play some quarter VP, it only
costs (some days) $10 a drink?
