The Nevada Gaming Board reported that of the $48.1 million worth of
drinks served in Laughlin, 70% of that was given away. This is a higher
percentage than all of Las Vegas. The strip in Las Vegas actually
sold more liquor than they gave away.
I have never paid for a drink in Laughlin or Las Vegas, and I don't
plan on starting. I have bought a bottle of wine with dinner, so I
guess that would be included in that 30% figure.
