Lessons about the AP community

I would like to thank this group for teaching me a lesson about the AP community. I didn't realize that you were supposed to go into public forums and call specific casinos stupid (and name a number of their staff) for holding good promotions.

A casino recently has seen the error of its ways, and has seriously cut back on its generous promotions, and we can now all feel good for a job well done.

Another fine example of post hoc ergo proctor hoc. If PT is talking
about Siena in specific, their promotions were way too generous and
completely unsustainable with OR WITHOUT this message board.

PT reminds me of Skip Hughes who complained to a buddy of mine about a
103%+ opportunity at Siena after unlocking all the secret codes. What
Skip didn't know was that the opportunities was in nickels and an "AP"
would have earned $1.80 an hour. Skip, did you know you could make
more money an hour flipping burgers at McDonalds since the minimum
wager is far higher than $1.80 an hour.

Playing with an advantage does not make a person an "AP." I stated
before anyone can learn to play video poker with basic strategy and
make money when the casino is giving away the store or when a
progressive jackpots is high enough. What separates an AP from these
civilians or Yahoo's is an AP does things that most civilians CAN'T
do. I spend a consider amount of time sampling, data analysis and
other statistic applications in my reverse engineering attempts. Many
of the time I do waste my time, money, and I hit numerous duds.
Occassionally I do hit a mother lode that keeps me in the business.

PT, please learn to use logic and thus avoid making these senseless
posts. I personally know what killed Siena's promotions and I made
several recommendations to key slot people at Siena to tone it down so
it could be sustainable (please refer to another posts). In summary,
don't be like Skip Hughes and get bent out of shape over $1.80 an hour.

You have some odd ideas about what it means to be an "advantage player".
All the ones I know would think it was moronic to tell a casino a play was
too strong. They'll find out, all too soon, on their own.

Of course, if you want to bring attention on yourself and a good play, this
is certainly easier than learning how to play two machines.

I believe in sustainable AP play* -- perhaps this is too difficult a
concept for King Fish to understand. What's the point for a casino to
get burn by giving away the goods? Instead, I believe in healthy and
profitable casinos so they can continue to compete and thus offer good
promotion. KF, the AP community is not a monolith, which is why King
Fish continues to come across like the village idoit.

For the record, I did tell Siena workers that their casino employee
promotion was too strong.

Cheers.
