I've seen so many people play the variable coin system and hit
royals. How fun is it to hit $62.50 on a royal when it should have
been $1000? Play Winpoker if you don't want to risk money, JMO.
That's true only if the nickel machine has the same payoff schedule as the quarter machine. If not, you are usually better off playing one quarter. If your goal is just to stretch your bankroll to last over a weekend of play, that's a good tactic. You should also modify your strategy to not draw to a royal on weaker royal draws. Generate a strategy with FVP or VPSM with the royal set to 250 instead of 800.
