Remember the "famous" friend of the gurus - Yuri - who was a math professor at UNLV as well as a self-proclaimed "expert advantage player and video poker master"? Then you'll also remember that after losing every dime to his name to those "beatable" & "playable" (yes, those silly AP buzzwords) video poker machines, Jean Scott came on a forum and took up a collection for the loser so he could save whatever dignity he had left and move he and his poor family back to Russia or Siberia or wherever he was from. AND THEN HE WAS GONE!
Seems Dan Paymar, another famous Las Vegas resident, also was friends with this guy. Well, anyone want to guess how Dan's doing in New Mexico these days? AND THEN HE WAS GONE!
So does anyone remember banned vpfree'er little dicky - aka Richard Mustain, whom I've chastised over and over again for moving to LV for 6 months a year just to be closer to the machines in order to satisfy his and his missus' insatiable daily gambling habits? Well guess what? AND THEN HE WAS GONE!---only he's done it while kicking & screaming all the way home to Minnesota. Seems he's telling everyone who has ears that his little duplex on Temple Canyon Rd. in Henderson was just sold FOR A PROFIT!! Yes I kid you not--he bought it in the high season several years ago and he now seems to be the ONLY LIVING SOUL from LV to be able to make a profit from a house sale in the middle of the worst recession LV has ever experienced! Does anyone now want to believe me that this idiot has been lying about me ever since I exposed him for being a cowardly liar many times over??
No, losing one's ass to the vp machines just doesn't seem to be as glamorous as setting up shop in Las Vegas with the way visions of sugar plums (and $$$'s) dancing in their heads had been way back when. It all kinda reminds me of when I ran into Jean & Brad at the Hard Rock about 7 or 8 years ago and had a little chat while they were playing "optimal play vp" on 10/7 DB. In the course of the conversation, Jean talked with pride of her home "back in Indiana" and how she absolutely loved visiting it and friends and family every so often. She also said these words: "I will NEVER, EVER sell that place because that's where my heart really is".
Well guess what folks? Yup, within a year after we chatted, that joint had to be sold too.
Anybody care to guess why!!!
