LCD - Glare on Machines

Wynn and L'Auberge (Lake Charles) have the new LCD displays that
seem to reduce glare on all their machines. The one thing that I
have noticed though is that they do not seem to play as fast. I
think a player would be hard pressed to play over 1000 hands per
hour. I play about 800 per hour and it is fine but I think I would
find it difficult to improve on that significantly. The graphics
are very clear and they are a joy to play.

Here is information on the provider:

Wells-Gardner Electronics* - WGA had the earnings growth in 2004
driven by LCD monitor sales to lead the way in 2005. We believe that
the next slot machine replacement cycle to be driven by the
transition to LCD screens on slot machines from CRT Monitors. For
those of you who do not understand that, go into any Circuit City or
Best Buy store and ask to see LCD screen televisions or computer
monitors. In order for the expected transition to downloadable slot
games to occur, the transition to LCD screens must occur. Add to
that a shortage of CRT components and the fact that the LCD slot
screens look better and the transition may accelerate in 2005, a lot
quicker than any of us expect.

And for the record, even though Wells-Gardner is a public company,
I (nor my family) have any financial interest in the company.
