My wife booked the room a few hours after I tried to book a
Thursday night only room.
Earlier in the day, I specifically told a clerk that I wanted
to try out one of the newly remodeled rooms. I said I could stay
only one night and would stay only if it was in a new room.
I told her I want to check one out! She only asked for my nane
and had no difficulty booking one night. I double checked that
it was a new luxuary room. At that time I was told a new room
would cost me $20. I do not know why she did not take my original
words serious. I simply said, "no thanks, please cancel this
reservation, I will just wait until all rooms are remodeled".
She seemed surprised and asked if I was sure that I wanted to
cancel the free room. I said "yes, that is what I said". I figure
if it was not going to be a new room why put me on record as to
having any responsibility of gaming at their casino this trip.
I figure my wife could get a Thursday night room later that day
and it would be her reservation. I probably will give them some
play, but, this way, any current status risk at the Aquarius is
my option. I do get many nice offers, so why risk anything for
an older room.
We still wanted to leave for Laughlin on Thursday. When my
wife came home that afternoon, I simply asked her to book one
night in her name. She had received a postcard offer. It did
say 2 free nights (Sun-Thurs).
From what I could hear from her conversation, she was not
given much difficulty booking the one night. She had to insist
that she was reading from what appeared to be a valid mailed
offer. It seemed as though they could not find the offer code
she had in her hand. They booked the one night, but specifically
told her not to forget to be sure to bring the offer with her.
Maybe this is a standard request, but we will see upon arrival
and she will have the offer in her purse!

So the AQ let you book only one night and did not make you book two?
I have
yet to be asked for the postcard at registration, but it is in my
back pocket.
They give you any free-play on this offer?
Just remember any points and comps earned will expire one year from
the date
earned with their FIFO system. Use them or lose
them.

**************
Vote for
