Ok I know where the north section of the Riverside is. But at the
risk of sounding ignorant, could you give me a little more info
about the "Sigma" machines? Is that the brand name to look for
on the machine? I'm going down there next month, and I'm still a
little naive about some of this VP terminology. Any help you can
give me about those machines would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sigma is in decline. I think they were bought up. But ten years ago they
were up there with Ballys fighting for second place behind IGT.

Laughlin was a stronghold for Sigma. The Golden Nugget still has 50+ Sigma
VP games and the Riverside about the same. On Winpoker, the Double Jackpot and
Double Double Jackpot are Sigmas. Another fun Sigma was Flush Attack, which
still can be found in the River Palms, Ramada and the Pioneer.

I find DJ and DDJ alot of fun since the best versions have honor card kickers
that double honor card quads. Some versions do not have kickers, which makes
them unplayable decoys.

Most are 1994 copyrights and play slow, but the I really enjoy the play
characteristics including the audio.

Ok thanks. That helps me some. I was just trying to picture what
they look like when you walk up to them.

They look worn out, beat up, and sometimes the screens will be fuzzy or
off color. These are also coin droppers. Don't let the looks fool you,
check out the paytables. It is usually difficult to find a seat at
those DDJ machines, as they are a casino favorite in Laughlin.

Ok thanks for the description, hamstockman. I'll be on the
lookout next month for both the DJ and the DDJ on the north
side.
