Rats! Sounds as though I am on the wrong end of an extended
weekend! I wish we had the luxury of missing a workday.
My wife's employer especially frowns on her missing work a
day after a holiday. Our plans for the Harrah's Great Gift
Wrap Up on Monday in Las Vegas does not help.
I am playing in a golf tournament Sunday with a banquet
dinner at 6:00 PM. After dinner we will have some free time.
Some of saturday's activity will be at the Belle. Again,
my cell is 480 280-4396 and please feel free to contact me.
I am not real good hearing or noticing my phone ringing.
99% of the time is just Marjean asking "where are you?".
I will try to be more alert this weekend. The other way
would be to leave a message at Harrah's, but then again,
I am not in the room too much while at a casino. Maybe
I will be watching some football---so that is still an option
this weekend. If I am on the 100% machines at the Belle I can
usually be distinguish as the "fool in a baseball cap" who
records the results of every hand played! Sometime even
security notices me! Three times I have been asked by secuirty
to explain what I was doing. At the Fiesta Henderson security
took me to a supervisor who fortunately was a little more
experienced!
Once, at Harrah's, I was stopped and threatened with severe
consequences since I was "cheating". This is a true story!
The early morning security guard said they were watching me
and what I was doing was the same as card counting in blackjack.
I would have voluntary gone to the backroom except it was
about 3:00 AM in the morning and I was too tired even for that
unique experience! I had no success educating the security
guard. She insisted that she learn that what I was doing is
illegal in her "training". A second encounter on the way to
my room again prove fruitless in explaining the difference.
Later Harrah's apologized, but that is another story!
