Well I made it back from Laughlin ok.
The weather was very nice for the most part. Temps usually got
to around 80. I think maybe one day it might've made it up to 90.
I didn't go for morning swims as I usually do because the
mornings seemed unusually cool but did go yesterday (the
17th).
Friday evening we had quite a dust storm. I was enjoying the
seafood buffet at the CB. When I looked out the window I
couldn't even see the mountains for all the dust. It must've
sprinkled a bit too because the next day I saw that my rental car
was a mess.
I consider the trip a success, moneywise. I took $250 in cash
down with me. I had to cash a check for $500 on the 13th, and
had to get into it a little, but ended up coming back home with
$800. The most lucky days were Easter Sunday and yesterday
and were at CB. Even the slots paid off yesterday and I hardly
ever play the slots.
I hit all of the casinos, playing mostly BJ and VP, but mostly at
CB.
Probably the worst days were the 12th and yesterday. On the
12th I was planning to quit early and watch The Amazing Race. I
should've because I dropped $200 at BJ during that hour. Then
yesterday evening I dropped another $200 (after winning $500
earlier) at BJ, but immediately won a four-of-a-kind when I
switched to VP so I got part of it back.
Anyway, did a lot of relaxing, eating and drinking and moviegoing.
All in all it was a great trip.
