I will be in Laughlin for the first time the week before Easter on a
junket by Harrahs.
I've been lurking here for awhile and relize I'm already behind the 8-
ball for being an evil empire customer but I still need a little help
with cheap, good food deals, any new sign up bonuses, multipleir
days,shows,sites etc.
I will be in town 3/17-3/21
Thanks for any help
Tom

Hey those H-L junkets are a deal. H-L has decent plays on the VP, fine
customer service, unique setting for the Diamond Lounge overlooking the pool, beach
and river.

If you have not done so already add www.laughlinentertainer.com to your
favorite websites. This is the online version of the weekly hardcopy oversized
Entertainer magazine. You will find it by the gift shop at H-L. The hardcopy
has the valuable ads.

Most casinos have a new sign-up deal. Some have a progressive rewards deal
for your first 24 hours of play. The River Palms currently gives you $15 in
free-play for 25 points ($125 coin-in on VP). RP also has some cheap
buffet/coffee shop deals where you earn coupons easily through play and can generate the
coupon through a kiosk.

So it sounds like you want to explore all the other casinos. If you like to
play VP and hear live tunes check out the TE/Caboose Lounge.

So are you a VP player? A table games player? Do you leave on Friday the
21st, or get to stay the night? You have plenty of time to quiz the members.

As far as must do's- Get on the river either using the water taxi or one of
the hour tours. This will give you a unique perspective of the ten casinos.
H-L has their own little cove.

If you get to the Riverside, watch the Don Laughlin story in the video
setups. Do the free cool car (2) museums. Just don't get any fingerprints on my
1970 Chevelle SS by valet.

Terry you did a great job hitting some of the highlights. Tom should find H-L enjoyable
and I'm assuming H-L food is still among the best.

My first visit to Laughlin was in 1990 before the bridge was built and of course at that
time all movement was dependent on the water taxis which were free. Even though that's
no longer the case the water taxi played a great role in my positive impression of Laughlin
and I too would recommend the ride or the river tour. Some of the casinos are quite
picturesque from the river so it wouldn't hurt to bring a camera along.

Much has changed over the years as far as less liberal BJ rules and VP payouts but good
deals can still be found, and certainly better rules and payouts than you'd find on the strip.

Everybody's gonna laugh at me at this next suggestion but I'm a sentimentalist/nostalgic.
TE has a free train ride (whistle, bells and all) that travels the complete circumference of
the property and even though I've rode it dozens of times I still take the time.

The riverwalk as it extends from RS to RP is a beautiful walk, especially this time of year.

Across the street from the Edgewater Hotel and Casino is the Preferred Outlet Mall
containing many restaurants, shops and a movie theater. Not necessarily a "must do" but I
usually end up there at some point during each trip.

The Pioneer Hotel and Casino has always done a wonderful job with the flowers they plant
alongside the river entrance area.

KLBC TV 2 http://www.tv2klbc.com/ has a live weekday show every morning for 1.5 hrs
starting at 7:00 a.m. I gave the above website because they also offer streaming video,
plus the opportunity to pick up shows you might have missed. You will also be able to see
their show in your hotel room (all hotels offer the station with the exception of the
Aquarius). Yesterday KLBC offered quite an "editorial" concerning the need for some
Laughlin casinos to offer more perks than just inexpensive hotel rooms.

Tom you should find a hard copy of the Laughlin Entertainer (that Terry referred to) in
every casino and it's usually good reading material while you're sitting at the restaurant
waiting for your food to arrive.
