before and would stay comped at Harrahs. It appears in the data base that
there are FPVP games available. Are these up to date? If you do not take a water
taxi, are taxis the only other option or are there casino shuttles? It
appears to be a distance from Harrahs to the other casinos. Any and all info about
Laughlin would be greatly appreciated, i.e. food, best place to play, etc.

Keep in mind that Harrah's has only JOB (<100%) listed. We like to play
FPDW at River Palms, Colorado Belle, and Edgewater.

Harrah's is up a small hill from the River Palms. The only time it's a
nasty walk is in the summer when its 115+ outside. We usually stay
comped at the River Palms and will often take the river walk from RP to
Riverside and back. Except for Ramada Express, all of the other casinos
are along the river. The river taxis charge a flat fee and the round
trip may be a buck cheaper. Seems like there were two river taxi
services so you had to chose. One suggestion would be to take a one way
river taxi from Harrah's to Riverside and then walk back stopping at
each casino along the way. If you get tired hop on another river taxi
to get back. Harrah's sometimes has a shuttle bus from Harrahs to the
Regency (next to the Edgewater).

Check http://www.laughlinentertainer.com/ for what's happening during
your stay.

There is an outlet mall across Casino Drive from the Edgewater. You can
also take boat tour trips to Lake Havasu (London Bridge). Riverside has
a small museum dedicated for veterans and a free train ride around the
casino property.

More comments and updates:

Harrahs is on the south end of the Casino Drive casinos. True some folks are
intimidated about the climb out of the Harrahs compound. But you can cut out
alot of the elevation change using the parking garage elevators at Harrahs
and River Palms. There are steps by where the valets park the cars. It is just
twelve minutes front door to front door. In RP the escalators will put you
down at the river walk level.

Harrahs quit doing the free shuttle down to the Regency last summer. People
have received river taxi tickets through the slot club. Not sure the status
at this point in time. The river taxi starts about 10a end shuts down by
midnight. It depends how much water is getting released from the dam. Last update
was $4 for one way to any of the casinos, no round trip ticket.

Taxis seem to hang out at Harrahs and Colorado Belle, but just ask a bell
hop/valet guy. There is a city bus, but it stops on Casino Drive. Its terminal
is next door the the LVCVA office by the Riverside.

Ramada Express (not Riverside) had the military museum, but it being moved to
Bullhead City. Riverside has a car museum.

The Entertainer magazine can be found in the the casinos and online. This
weekly comes out on Wednesdays.

Right now it is snowbird season until Easter. Enjoy.

You're right! My mind was thinking Ramada Express and my fingers were
typing Riverside.
I guess things like this can happen now that I'm on day three of
retirement.
