Laughlin information-please

My husband and I are considering going to Laughlin. Have never been there before and would stay comped at Harrahs. It appears in the data base that there are FPVP games available. Are these up to date? If you do not take a water taxi, are taxis the only other option or are there casino shuttles? It appears to be a distance from Harrahs to the other casinos. Any and all info about Laughlin would be greatly appreciated, i.e. food, best place to play, etc.

Thanks to everyone,
Peg

Keep in mind that Harrah's has only JOB (<100%) listed. We like to play
FPDW at River Palms, Colorado Belle, and Edgewater.

Harrah's is up a small hill from the River Palms. The only time it's a
nasty walk is in the summer when its 115+ outside. We usually stay
comped at the River Palms and will often take the river walk from RP to
Riverside and back. Except for Ramada Express, all of the other casinos
are along the river. The river taxis charge a flat fee and the round
trip may be a buck cheaper. Seems like there were two river taxi
services so you had to chose. One suggestion would be to take a one way
river taxi from Harrah's to Riverside and then walk back stopping at
each casino along the way. If you get tired hop on another river taxi
to get back. Harrah's sometimes has a shuttle bus from Harrahs to the
Regency (next to the Edgewater).

Check http://www.laughlinentertainer.com/ for what's happening during
your stay.

There is an outlet mall across Casino Drive from the Edgewater. You can
also take boat tour trips to Lake Havasu (London Bridge). Riverside has
a small museum dedicated for veterans and a free train ride around the
casino property.

Enjoy,

We have stayed at Harrahs Laughlin three times comped. All food was also comped. We love it there. The food is good, wonderful buffet. No shuttles. Taxi or water taxi are only transportation. Taxi is about $8 to Aquarius from Harrahs but from there you can walk to most other casinos. We are going again in March. Harrahs has the only private beach there and we enjoy taking advantage of that in nice weather. You should go, you'll really enjoy Laughlin.

Harrah's runs a frequent shuttle bus to basically the center of the
other riverside casinos.

Full pay machines are current based on information on hand.

The Laughlin VP database shows the casinos with the best games.
