Harrahs has the only private beach there and we enjoy taking advantage of
that in nice weather. You should go, you'll really enjoy Laughlin.

Well that is not quite true. Harrahs does have a nice one that is groomed
daily in season and has chairs and umbrellas. Their little cove allows for some
waist high wading in the river. They offer a bar in season. But Harrahs
does get serious about bringing down your own refreshments.

Other joints have dinky beach areas without amentities...Colorado Belle and
the Pioneer. The mystery still is the beach area between RP and GNL.
Columbia-Sussex did not cough up for access when they bought RP.

But the best beach/pool/outdoor amentities by far is now down at the Avi.
They just keep adding on down there. They just expanded, well about
everything...casino floor, restaurants, convention space, a new parking garage and pool
area.

We have never been to Avi. Where is it? We only started to go to Laughlin last March. I always take at least soda to Harrahs beach with no problem.

The AVI is located about 15 miles south of the other casinos in
Laughlin. It is a few miles off the Needles Highway, and about halfway
between Needles Ca. and Laughlin. AVI is very popular with the
watercraft people, as they have a nice boat launch area and sell fuel.
The beach area is very nice with a grass area with food and drink
available. The have a very nice golf course and an RV parking area. It
is actually owned by the Mojave Indian tribe, but is located in Nevada.
The location is the spot where Arizona, California and Nevada come
together. Oh, they have a casino too!
