Laughlin Entertainer Aug 9th Issue

This weeks Entertainer has three pretty good articles in the online edition.
Two talk about the Bee Gees Tribute band at Riverside and Highway 101 playing
Kokopellis.

The most interesting story is an interview with David Baumgartner, the
Marketing Director for CB/EW. He talks about how they come up with the promos,
silly hats and the lead in times.

I miss the "Rolling on the River" promo since I cashed three times over the
years. Heck, I miss "Bobblehead Bob", who knew how to run a promo.

I see that Kokopellis is actually upgrading their entertainment
quality. I got an e-mail today that they are also bringing in Lovin'
Spoonful the end of next week. These guys now have gray hair, but hey-
so do I. It is good to see something other than another tribute
band, or another "variety show" playing.

I wonder what happened to Captain Bob at the Colorado Belle? I still
got some of his old bobbleheads still in the box. I am waiting to get
invited to another party where you are suppose to bring a "white
elephant" gift. How about E-bay? Think anyone would possibly bid on
these?

Speaking of Bobble heads, I see they are selling Don Laughlin
Bobbleheads at the Riverside....Whoopie. You can even buy the deluxe
talking version. It is suppose to recite some of his famous words of
wisdom.

Just received a "Limited Edition Collectible All American "Bob"
blehead" a few weeks ago. Hey, if these are valuable collector
items you cannot expect to keep receiving more "Captain Bob"
bobleheads. Do you advise me to save these collectible boxes?
