OK, just got my latest Peppermill offer.

I do have a question about the freeplay. The previous couple of offers
had coupons for the freeplay which was only worth half value, if you
weren't staying in the hotel ($50), or worth the full value ($100) if
you did stay in the hotel.
<snip>
I would really like to know, for sure, if you have to be staying to
receive the freeplay. If anyone can verify if a stay is required to
use the freeplay, I would really like to know.
Well, Mike, the first day of this latest freeplay mailer is May 9 for part 1 (Mine is $250)
Part 2 ($250 again for lucky me) ends July 2 (The first day of my next visit - yay).
So you are a day early on the question- that's why no one knows yet, so we'll wait for
responses. Really.
BUT, most folks are gonna go to a machine first, per usual, put in their slot card, punch in
their PIN and see what FreePlay is loaded. Only if it's zero or half what you expect to get
are you gonna bother to talk to a boothling. Still, it's a good question, we have to be
vigilant to policy changes.
But I would be surprised if they start enforcing fine print.
If the info boothling says, 'You are not staying in the hotel?' the correct response is: 'I'm
not checked in yet.' If that doesn't fool 'em, the persistant angle shooter would go check-
in, play the freeplay, and then go cancel the room ("It is not to my liking." -OR- "I got a
better deal at the Atlantis.").
Could save you or me a pointless taxi ride from another property at the worst if we find
out ahead of time that they have started enforcing the fine print. Mine has ALWAYS been
loaded when I first play for the past many years. I would think it's a safety net for them,
for the case of the Multi-account/card owners who might be bilking the Pepps (see
interminable thread on vpFree).
Oh- and for some reason I never got the 1/2 offer if you didn't stay at the hotel. Maybe I
just never read the fine print. I also suspect that with the secretive comp system at Pepps,
that they treat different players differently. Hey- it's secretive- they gotta have some fun
with it.
The Tuscan Suites ARE 'over-the-top' sweet, but I wouldn't wanna have to pay for them.
Probably overpriced even at casino rate or players rate or whatever they call the non-fully
comped rates now.
