Latest Coasts Inventory?

I've lost track - is this correct, or did I read somewhere than some
of the 10/7 DB is gone too?

25c FPDW........BC
25c NSUD........SC
Triple-Pay DW...GC, Orleans
25c 10/7 DB.....All

At last count:

25c NSUD........SC
Triple-Pay DW...GC, Orleans
25c 10/7 DB.....All (GC also has 3 Play)
50c 10/7 DB SC
5c 10/7 DB Prog Orleans

The vpFREE DataBase should be correct also.

Thanks Tom - for some reason I thought the last few FPDW were gone
from GC so I wasn't sure if the database was completely up to date.
Thanks also for the extra effort involved in maintaining all the
changing info lately...

That is true. The Bally machines are now 9/7 (still with the 800 SF) and a number of the IGT machines are 9/7 as well. There are still many full-pay DB's.

Okay - now I have lost count...Does the GC have anymore FPDW .25 and
10/7 DB .25 or triple play?
Does BC have anymore FPDW?
Does anyone know why the coast properties have cut all the deuces.
It can't be they think they are losing money to advantage
players...How much damage can a VP pro due to them playing .25 DW?

I don't think, IMHO, that it's a question of "pros". I think it is a pure business decision. Fact is, LV is hurting for business, specifically fly-in business. Nationally, all companies are cutting expenses to hopefully offset losses in sales/revenues. They have been doing that for two years since 9-11. Now we are at war which is not doing the economy much better.

Casinos are merely looking for anywhere to get a few more cents. Logically, LV isn't supposed to offer games that have a positive expectation for the gamblers. So...... you get my drift I'm sure. You cut from the top, and that's the FPDW and a few other machines. Maybe a few less promo's, etc.

It may takes six months, it may take a year. But once business starts to pick up noticeably you will also see competition pick up in the form of promotions, cash back bonuses and the return of the FP machines to entice players.

Casinos don't think in terms of individual players, they think in terms of the masses, whether they be locals or tourists. I think too many people on this board are taking this as a personal affront to them personally. Trust me, they don't even know you exist as an individual, no matter how many times a slot host shakes your hand and welcomes you.

Greektown was the exception and obviously made a major error in judgement to segregate a specific group and make a public display. I give LV casino operators a lot more respect in their business decisions, and that's all this is.

Geez, I actually wrote a serious post without a joke in it...

Absolutely. Now if only they'd realize that holding onto the full
pay positive machines actually helps them, by bringing in a segment
of clientelle who are likely to lose anyway on any given day, plus
continue to spend their money on other less positive games also.

But I agree, it's a cyclicle thing, and in time they'll be back, just
like 10/7 job.....er, umm....never mind.

That would make sense if ALL the casinos in Las Vegas got rid of FPDW. That
has not happened. Coasts would not get away with this if players simply
went to other casinos to play. But as you can tell from this group, there
are many that just don't get it.
