Since 9/11, many of my trips are by car. I often ask for a late check-in,
often after 12, due to my procrastination in getting started or because I'm
waylaid by a casino on the way.
On a recent 1-night stay at the Hyatt in Incline Village, I checked in after
6 & after some one who was already checking out. The desk clerk was thoughtful
enough to put me down for the latest checkout she could authorize, 2 PM &
later that day, Michael L of Casino Services, advised me that I could checkout as
late as I needed. In both cases, they volunteered it without my asking.
Granted this was an extreme situation, but whenever I have a late checkin,
I'll often get a late checkout to go with it.
I hope there a lot of other people who do this because I'd like to see at
last one or two casinos accommodate the insomniacs among us by letting us stay in
the room long enough to get a good rest.
