Las Vegas trip stays at Palms, M, Stratosphere, Silverton

Palms: stayed during the lingerie night promotion. My host coded me for the promo. Didn't know what it was but it had $50 of FP plus tickets to event. Asked them to change it
to another promo that had $250 FP which they did.

While playing, saw all these people coming in barely dressed in lingerie (mostly women), must have been a parade of a couple hundred for an hour.......

Hi Old Friend! (I received my very FIRST private vpFREE e-mail from you, back in 2003!)

Loved your TR! Furthermore, I agree with most every current assessment you've made about LV casinos in 2010.

I'm sure that Bev applauded your wise decision to take vthe $250 FP! {{O:

M Resort: first time to stay here & it won't be the last. Definitely like the rooms & the buffet. I'm not much for buffets but I do like this one.

I agree completely! I just returned from two days at The M. and enjoyed it throughly! I've
stayed there four times in the past, including two visits in the glory days when they still
offered 16/10 NSUD, and the 100%+ quarter bank. While I miss that superb inventory,
there is still PLENTY there to play, especially for a short stay, for those who are willing to look for it.

I still believe the rooms are the best Non-Strip rooms in existence, and the buffet has something GOOD for everyone. That includes sushi, shasimi, smoked salmon, raw peeled and fried shrimp, crab salad, excellent Asian and Mexican stations, beef and chicken
in every incarnation known to man, loads of veggie and potato selections, salads of
many kinds, a free wine and beer bar, a cappucino station, hand scooped ice cream and sherbet that rivals the best ice cream parlor (try the Mango sherbet combined with Coconut ice cream!) and marvelous pastries, mousses and creme brulee. What more could anyone ask of a $24.95 buffet?

.......... Don't know if I've reported on EC before but it's not the EC of 10 yrs ago where I was wary of going there. They've cleaned the area up & have more security. Have only stayed there once (in a nice retro suite) & have to say that I should have listened to Babe
a long time ago.

The glory days of the EC are over, unfortunately! I stopped staying there a couple of
years ago when they downgraded all the FPKBJW, that I so loved to play. At the same
time they deep-sixed NSUD. I understand that even further VP downgrades have occurred since then. I didn't have to be slapped around anymore than that to seek greener pastures!

Even though I was always given a suite at the EC, had all meals comped in Roberta's and the coffee shop, was given large amounts of FP, as well as CB, there is no longer enough VP to hold my interest for a typical 4-5 day stay.

Particularly, since I am not into walking up down Fremont Street, anymore, and I was also able receive LRFB at more upscale casinos in the 'burbs with better VP, I stopped patronizing the EC about two years ago . I still get mailers for free rooms, FP and other offers, but so far have been able to resist returning.

In general: haven't stayed on the Strip for over a yr now & the new casinos, M &

South Point are 2 good reasons not to. You avoid the congestion & have a better overall experience.

Exactly right! Those are my two LV home casinos at the present time.

The one exception that I'll make is the Wynn. With Ritz-Carlton gone, it now has the best service levels in LV.

I agree. I've stayed at both Wynn and Encore, on free room plus FP offers. I enjoyed
the ambiance and the food, but not the VP selection. Playing single-line dollars and higher, essentially on BP or JOB, for many hours a day, is not an enjoyable experience
for me. So one stay in each casino was enough for me.

I really enjoyed reading about your trip. Please post TRs more often!
