Stayed at Barbary Coast for three nights with an up front comp from
Lisa Vios. She just added an extra day to the coupon offer I received
in the mail. Good, fast FPDW and DB. Most uncomfortable seats in
Vegas. The slot club boothlings honored both requests for meal comps.
They just checked my play, 7-8K daily, and wrote up the comp.
They had a country-western band in for the NFR that were very
good, and everyone enjoyed the Big Elvis show during the day. Very
nice rooms, and overall a nice stay except for the uncomfortable
seating at the positive video poker.
Moved to the Las Vegas Club for the next four night, again with
an up-front comp. Nice north tower room, they now have installed
safes in them. They are keyed safes with a dollar daily charge.
Upon checkout, they asked if I had used the safe, answered no, and
the dollar was taken off the bill.
They still have an excellent selection of full pay video poker.
They have FPKBJ and their special dueces are still there despite a
report that the pay scale was lowered. They are still 13-16 for the
straight flush and five of a kind. The full pay scale is
1,2,2,3,4,13,16,25,400,800. They also have full pay DB and
9/6/4700JB. I had no trouble with food comps, just asked the slot
supervisor on duty and he would check my daily average,7-8K. I have
been staying here for the last 5 or more years, and being a small
casino, I have an excellent relationship with everyone from change
girls right up to the slot supervisors. It is amazing what a little
courtesy and respect does to the help. Nicest employees I have ever
experiened in a casino, know most of them by name.
