Hi Everyone, just got back from LV last night and had a very nice
trip, stayed at LVH as they treat us very well at C3 level. Here are
some quick notes that we observed during our trip.
LVH cashback exactly as posted, $30 coin in = 1 cash point worth $.10
the players club system reports your total cash and comp balance each
time you insert your card, our comp balance seemed (almost exactly) to
grow at a rate 1/2 of the cash amount, so this would equal 0.16666%
and a total of 0.5% total comps, although we already were being comped
our room and food, so that would add substantially to the 'total comp'
LVH has 9/6 Bonus Deluxe on the same bank of machines in the sports
book that have full pay loose dueces, all other reported games seem to
be accurate.
Caesers - Had to go play the Super times pay (now we both love it),
since we were not staying at Caesers and I am not really established
there, we both played on my card, the slot system seemed very simular
to LVH except there was usually a lag in the reporting if you pulled
your card out and put it back in (maybe about 40-60 secs to update).
My cash did go up at the reported rate of 1 point/$44 in coin in,
although I believe they truncate any play that is less than a cash
point or a comp $1, so if you pull your card out a lot you will not
get any cash or comp. Also, I noticed that my comp value was going up
pretty fast (maybe 2 times cash value) for about $50 worth of comp,
then it almost stopped going up. Actually it still went up, but at a
rate of 1/2 of the cash value. I asked lots of questions to a slot
sup. person, but got very little info, although they were acting like
they wanted to be helpful. Then I got tired of it and had my wife
sign up (never had a card) and we both played on her account, low and
behold, her comp value increase at 2 times her cash value, even past
the $50 threshold where my acct seemed to 'hit the wall'. Not sure why
any of this happened, just passing along the info for everyones
benifit. If anyone does understand this, I would like to know,
although in a few months Harrahs will take over and I expect them to
go to the extremely low 'total rewards' (or almost No Rewards) system.
I will try to leave another msg with a not nearly as entertaining
trip report as we have been getting lately (thanks to the others for
setting the bar so high).
