Our daughter moved out to Vegas about 2 years ago a couple of months
after she got married. They were able to rent a two bedroom apartment
for about $700 a month. They left Boston because the housing costs
were so high, they figured they could never afford to by a house. Last
March they bought a 3 bedroom house for 200,000. The house was just
appriased at over 300,000. Real estate has gone thru the roof. When we
helped them look for new construction there was a waiting list of at
least 60 people ahead of them which was equal to about 7 phases. Each
phase had an increase of price of about 4-7,000. They finally bought a
resale because that was the only way you knew what you were paying.
They love it out there. She is the costume designer and production
manager for the bite show at the Strat. He is a buyer at the Palms and
plays in a band. We usually go out every other month and stay and play
at the Orleans. For our three night stay we usally put thru about 75 k.
This gets us whatever we want at this property. We like it there and
have gotten to know most of the employees. We play 10-7 DB and NSUD.
The coast casino's has 3% cash back which is one of the best in town.
We are going Thurs to see Rich Little as we had gotten the tickets
about two weeks ago. MS has a new marketing department to try and fill
up all their events.
