Las Vegas Locals Question - Station casino mailers

Question is about use of point multipliers from the mailer.

Last year we received mailers from Red Rock, and on our point multiplier days we could play at any Station casino except GVR.

This year we're playing more at Aliante and discovered that on our multiplier days we can only use the multipliers at Aliante (bummer).

Two questions:

1. Vice-versa from my situation... are YOU on a Red Rock mailer? And if so have you been able to use your multipliers at Aliante?

2. For you couples... do any of you have one person receiving mailers from one Stations casino, and the other person receiving them from another?

Hi Mac,

The deal is that Green Valley Ranch and Aliante are owned in partnership with the Greenspun family, who own The Las Vegas Sun and a lot of other stuff. At one time the family owned much of the land in Henderson. Hank's, the steakhouse at GVR is named for the patriarch of the family.

The two casinos (individually)have marketing and mailers separate from the other Stations. I have not played at all at Aliante, but our GVR mailers are exclusively for GVR, so I would think it is the same situation.

For many months my Stations play was mostly at Sunset Station and Red Rock, and my husband's was at GVR. My mailers (which included a calendar with point multipiers and free play, and coupons for dining credits and free rooms) were good at all Stations except GVR, and his were only for GVR.

Lately I have been playing mostly at another locals chain, because they are offering better deals for my situation. However, I put in some play at GVR and less at the other Stations beginning in February. I was IMMEDIATELY switched to GVR marketing.

To try to answer your first question, our GVR point multipliers and other goodies are no good at the other Stations. I would think the same applies to Aliante. I am hoping someone who plays there will confirm.

So, to answer your second question, yes, spouses can receive the different mailers, but they need to plan to play at the different places. I put in just a tiny little bit more time at GVR than at the other joints, and they switched my mailer!

Can you tell I'm mad?

I have lived in Las Vegas for 2 years. Stations used to be my favorite casino chain, but they are sucking more and more.

I am relatively new to Stations and I don't remember getting a mailer. But a month after I signed up I got regular offers on the website. To anyone not familiar with the website, it opens to a calendar that has all the offers for that month.

So what I am wondering, and asking, has your website's offers been limited to Green Valley?

Yes, Bob, my calendar at the Stations website changed to GVR. In fact, that's how I first find out they switched me.

FYI, you can go to the Rewards center if you don't get your mailer. They will print out your stuff for you. I have done this also at Sam's Town when I lost my postcard for my free gift.

Had me LOL!

We still like Stations for our purposes, although we don't appreciate having to earn Platinum again every 90 days, nor the increase to 75000 points from 50000.

I believe we'll make plans to get one of us switched over to Red Rock, leaving the other at Aliante.

Thank you for that tip, Tikithecat. That will be helpful.
