On our last trip to las vegas in mid- november, I really got to
thinking about how much things have changed, with the new TITO
machines. Used to be you won a royal on a quarter machine and all
hell broke loose around you, even on a nickel machine. of course
you might of sat and waited 20 minutes to get paid on a royal, but
that was sort of fun too. On this last trip I hit a royal on a
nickel multilevel machine (was playing only 3 lines of video poker)
and yup it said on the screen 4000 credits. So by and by we cashed
out our TITO tics, and went over to one of those spiffy change
machines (sam's Town) and stuck the TITO tics in. Sure enough out
came the $200.00 in 20's for the royal. All quite efficient, no
change to handle, no fingers to clean, lots of privacy.. Heck, I
don't think the guy sitting next to me even knew I hit. So faster,
cleaner, neater, maybe even safer, but I do at times miss the old
Las Vegas where casino people came by and congratulated you. I
don't know- maybe its just me. At least we still have the player
club windows, at even the friendly casino host, so we do still have
people to talk to, from the casino. Remember the change gals
walking around...history!! I did still need a hopper fill on one
machine upstairs at Sam's Town. That will soon be a thing of the
past too, I suppose. The Casino's, they are a changin!!!!!!
