Me and my gf stayed there for 2 nights. I signed up for an account
and asked for 2 cards, which we both used so we could combine our
play. At around 10am on checkout day, I asked host about food
charges to room and free room and for extended checkout to 2, so I
could play some more. I think we had put in close to 21k in our time
there (arrival day, next day, checkout morning), and they go by days
stayed, not days played, so it's divided by 2. The host took care of
the room and non-room service food and gave me late checkout. We
played till 2 and then I went back and spoke to diff host, who comped
my room service as well (we were close to 25k now). We checked out
and went to Bally's where we had 3 free nights from an online coupon
I found. We did not like Bally's, so we took taxis back to Hilton
every day to play (in retrospect, I should have called and asked for
limo to bring us back to spend our money there instead of paying $30
for a taxi each day). While there, if we got hungry, I'd just go to
host and ask for buffet or pizza hut comp and they'd give me a ticket
for free food. Of course all the alcohol was free as we were playing
vp at the bar. On last day in Vegas (arrived tuesday morning, left
saturday late night), I asked host about airfare. The computer
showed close to 50k play over the 5 days. Our "theoretical loss" was
$2k based on their calculations of what games we played. Of course,
since we played 90% pick'em, it was really much smaller true theo.
This 2k theo would have qualified us for airfare reimbursement except
for fact that we were no longer guests of the hotel, and it was our
first stay there. They said that if wasn't my first stay (they never
give it for first stay) and we had been checked in whole time, I
would have gotten airfare. However, I did get $303 back from
slotclub (.55% on vp, 1.1% on slots) which almost covered our
airfare. And since I've been home, I've gotten all the offers that I
told u about. So basically, we spent our week playing 10 hours a day
(we are game junkies, so got addicted to it for the week) and
drinking free alcohol and staying in free rooms. In lieu of airfare,
he did give us a limo to drive us back to Bally's to get our luggage
and then to airport for our flight. We had a wonderful experience at
LV Hilton and love the atmosphere (more intimate) and the
bartenders. We came home a lil ahead (before gf buying souvenirs, of
course) for the week, plus got free rooms and food and limo, and now
all these great offers. Viva Las Vegas!

Plus there is free popcorn at that Spacequest Bar. Yessss!!!

My wife and I racked up 200 points at the Hilton the last time we
there and the hotel sent us a letter offering us three nights a $45 a
night. I guess that is what 200 points will get you.

$303 in cash back is about 30,000 points right?

303 is 3030 points. Every 10 points is $1 back. It takes $9 in
slots or $18 in vp to get 1 point, so every 90 is $1 back in slots
(1.1%) and every 180 is $1 back in vp (.55%).

Boy my math is fuzzy.

The bartender was handing out free popcorn at the Spacequest Bar the
last time I was there (April). Actually I went up to the bar and
asked for the popcorn and then took off, maybe I was supposed to
pay? Oh well

303 is 3030 points. Every 10 points is $1 back. It takes $9 in
slots or $18 in vp to get 1 point, so every 90 is $1 back in slots
(1.1%) and every 180 is $1 back in vp (.55%).

Nich,

Thanks for a very useful report!

Of course, I'm now kicking myself for not having asked for airfare on
our last trip in April. Over the course of our 3-night stay be put
through $120K through the machines.

But I've generally tended to be fairly modest in what I ask for, and
in the case of this trip we were walking away with a decent bundle.
We were playing $1 NSUD and my wife hit a RF while the ducks seemed to
fly for me.
