The 6 (6) $1 MG/TITO slant-tops near the

if the machnes were going to be returned and they
did not know.
Las Vegas hilton update
I don't know if anyone else has replied to your e-mail previously, but I was at the Hilton last week and I believe the machines you are talking about have returned. Since I saw your note before leaving for Las Vegas I checked for the $1 machines when I arrived and they were not there. There were a bunch of chairs in the same area where the machines used to be. Later, I noted some activity in the area. It was hard to tell if it was just machine maintenance or something else. The next time I checked the $1 machines (including the progressive meter) were back. I played them some without a great deal of luck. I did catch a diamond royal (holding only two cards) on one of the many $.25 machines.
I was glad to see $1 machines return. I try to play some of the games on these machines at least some on each trip. However, we were again told that the Pick'em games will be disappearing from the bartops at the Sportbook bar. I know they probably think they are a pain since they only dispense coins and not tickets, but I like the play these games some also. There aren't many pplaces anymore where you can find Pick'em.

Bob,
Who told you this? Did they indicate when the change was to take place? Any mention of the machines in the Spacequest Bar? They are coin droppers too.
I figured once they were done with Tempo - 9/5 jacks anyone? - they might turn their attention to replacing these machines too.
AS an aside, they spent 6 months remodeling for Tempo?! What a disappointment. They were to have entertainment, etc., but it is nothing more than a lounge. OTOH, if you want to get hit on by a hooker, just walk through the door after midnight - they were on me like white on rice!

Steve,
We were told by one of the bartenders that they were going to remodel the bar and that when they do that they will pull the games. He didn't know when it is scheduled to happen. Admittedly, this was not the first time we had heard about the possible elimination of the games. However, it seemed to have a little more substance this time. Hopefully, it takes them a while, but since it seemed like they were done with their other construction, they may be moving in this direction. He did not say anything about the Spacequest Bar.

Some time ago, before the new owners put money into the sports book,
Wiliam the bartender at the sports bar told me the new owners were
going to redue the bar completely. Change the orientation and such.
Maybe that is still n their long range plans.
