My experience at the LVH took place last Oct for 3 days, 2 nights.
We are going again in may for 4 days/3nights.

Likes: The spa was very nice. Benehana was good. VP is pretty good.
I think that the cashback is still the highest in LV. Rooms were
nice. Overall was a great experience

Dislikes: No 10/7 DB or FPDW. They do have 9/7 DB and NSUD which is
spectacular for an East Coaster like me. The layout of the
casinos/restaurants/hotel is a little confusing

Anecdotes: None

Hotel comments: Overall good rooms and I like the additional sink
outside of the bathroom.
   
Restaurant comments: The buffet was alright, nothing special. I hear
they have complimantary beer w/ dinner. This will increase my
rating. Great meal at benehana, good sushi.

Swimming pool comments: None

VP machine LOCATIONS: The database had the locations nailed down.
Most good machines are in the sports book section.

History of the casino: none

Slot club information: see likes section above

Discretionary comp experiences: They comped almost $100 of food in 2
days play (about 12 hours of play total for 2 people on 90% FPVP 10%
slots)

Likes:

a) best cashback in vegas combined with fullpay All American = best
combo of ev (101.27%) and volatility (26) in Vegas. Also has
pick'em, lowest volatility game, with 100.51% ev, which is at all the
bars (free drinks while playing).

b) bartenders...especially sam in the spacequest casino

c) megabucks machine in spacequest that makes noise whenever u hit
anything...loosest slot machine i, and everyone around us, have ever
seen...

d) garden tubs in room

e) comped everything, including room service and limo, for us sitting
there making money with 100.5% video poker

f) the atmosphere is more intimate than other casinos...spacequest
casino is nice and comfy and darker, not just one big open floor like
bally's

Dislikes: bj rules suck...u can't get airfare if first-time guest,
nor if u've already checked out of hotel

VP Machine locations: look at database, it's accurate...every bar has
pick'em in .50 and $1 lining the bars in the multigame machines...All-
American, best vp in Vegas, is in spacequest casino under the big
projection screens...multigame machines facing away from the Star
Trek Experience, perpendicular to the bar

Slot Club info: best cashback in Vegas at .55% (1.1% if playing
slots) ... full allowance of multiple cards being used at once...just
take ur card out and stick back in at any point to see ur points...i
got $303 cash back at the end (50k in play, 90/10 vp/slots)

Discretionary comps: stayed 2 nights and then played there next 3
days even tho staying free at Bally's...got room, food, roomservice
all comped upon checkout after 2 days...at end of week, we put 50k
through and got limo ride to Bally's to pick up bags then to airport
on Saturday night and, of course, food during the week when we went
back comped...would have gotten airfare comped for us, but we had
already checked out (a no no for airfare reimbursement) and we were
first-time visitors...if we do same amount next time and don't check
out, we'll get all food, room, limo, and airfare comped

best casino in vegas if u play vp...not good if u play bj
sports area looks nice if do that
best slot machine anywhere is megabucks in spacequest that makes
noise (2nd from left)
if u play other games, then ur just throwing ur money away, so it
doesn't really matter which casino u go to

Nich, about that airfare reimb -- I'm going to assume that you're on
the west coast. Even considering that $10K of your play was on slots,
$50K sounds a little light to achieve the comp status that would
generally include airfare.

I'm still light on details of the LVH comp system, but we gave them
5500 points ($100K) at New Year's over our 3 night stay and didn't
even think of asking for airfare. If we would have been eligible,
it's a shame that for our return trip April 1 that we're traveling on
free travel vouchers.

I wish u had asked them. It is based on having a theo (theoretical
loss) of 2,000 (tho one host said discretionary at 1800)....after
45kish play, my theo was already about 2100. He said if we were
still guests and it hadn't been our first time, I would have gotten
my airfare reimbursed. I live in Atlanta, not the west coast.
