Thanks for the follow up. I didn't make the attempt on my last trip. I'm
hesitant to drop in without being willing to give them a couple solid days
of play as their future offers are valuable to me.

I just returned from a trip to the Hilton. When I went to cash in my cash
coupon they did not ask for proof of staying at the casino.>>>
The coupon that I received did not require a stay. I claimed the $200 & then
proceeded to play through $10K on Pick'Em which is less than the average for
C2.
I made two procedural mistakes:
1. I played past midnight. (Believe trip average is based on the days of
stay at LVH but still not a good habit.)
2. At 1 AM, being very tired & needing a place to stay, I checked into the
hotel. At that time of the night VIP is closed so front desk could not accept
the free stay coupon but they quoted me a $45 rate which I said was good
enough.
In the morning, I wondered if I'd ruined my trip average so went to VIP to
check. Was told that I didn't have to be concerned even though my one day of
play didn't earn the $ of comps I normally earn. Since the stay wasn't linked
to any promotion it will be overlooked when talking to my host.
I didn't ask for the stay to be comped off in the hopes that it wouldn't
show up as a stay on the casino database. The front desk clerk typed all my info
in as if I'd never stayed there before. Used my HHonors card so should get
HHonors pts from credit card charge.
Wondered if I would have been better off if I'd just didn't play. As it
turned out, this PE session delivered up 4 quads in 3 hrs but would be interested
in others' opinions as to what they would have done.
