Left humid 98 degree NY for dry 110 degree Vegas and was unhappy to
be upgraded from a steambath to a first-class sauna! I've condensed
my report so you can read what interests you. Will be happy to
expound on anything.
Harrah's Diamond Lounge -A comment I overheard was "pathetic" but
that is being much too kind, it's more like "insulting". Why
Harrah's? With Diamond card am treated royally in AC but no upgrade
or special treatment of any sort in Vegas. The only good thing was we
used our reward credits and ate like pigs for free.
VP on the Strip
IP - won a t-shirt on the free spin, so thought I'd donate $10
because they were nice. Didn't care what I played so sat down at a
nickle DW machine and played max to quickly get out of there. Wow ---
hit my first ever legit Royal Flush. A newbie's dream come true!
Harrah's played horrid DDB 9/5 hit couple quads but still got down.
Was holding my own on the DBDW multistrike but left to sightsee with
my daughter. Husband told me next person immediately got 4 Duces on
top line. Hated hearing this and still not talking to him.
VP on Freemont Street -Guess I'm a down and dirty sort because I
loved DT and prefer it to the strip. Fitzgerald found the infamous
17/10 LDW but it didn't live up to its name. GN broke even on the
10/7 DB
We Will Rock You - Used Goldstar.com and got tickets half-priced 25'
from stage. This show blew me away.
Jet Blue Airline Great! Even though I made a booking mistake and
showed up a day late. They were very accommodating and got me on the
flight that I wanted.
Thank you! Planning this trip served as a diversion to get through
being diagnosed with a brain tumor and the neurosurgery operation.
Sending this TR to two groups I usually lurk in. On the rare occasion
I nervously asked questions was thrilled when a "pro" responded and
shared their knowledge. Thank you for being so great about sharing
information and answering emails, you have no idea how much it was
appreciated.

There's no place like Vegas and there's no place like home. This
fall our baby is off to college so we'll have the time but not the
funds to go to Vegas for awhile. Heard FP is starting to come to
AC(even at Showboat?). Wish there was decent DW games, practiced DW
versions to be ready for Vegas and it was like a duck to water..no
pun!). Maybe I'll just continue my quest for that phantom 9/6 DBDJ
machine at Harrah's.
