Kudos to Palms

Well, it was a fun 3 days in Vegas...mostly showing the old folks a good time. (they had
not been there for 35 years!) I did get to spend a few hours at the Deuces Wild machines.

Anyway, I feel that I need to post a compliment here concerning the way we (specifically
my girlfriend) was treated at the Palms last weekend.

We had been playing Deuces on those famous (infamous?) Deuces progressives there,
when my girlfriend came up with the four ducks. She then exclaimed that it had only paid
her for $200! Sure enough, she was short $50, and I went to a fellow in the high limit area
for help, asssuming that the machine may have malfunctioned. He came over an did his
thing on the machine, looking up many previous hands, only to discover that she had been
playing 4 coins.

Ouch.

I had taught her to play the "max coins" button on the deal and the play button once she
had held her cards. (I do that to avoid any confusion when things get cranking) She had
been just hitting "play", and apparently it just keeps playing the same bet as you had
before. Somewhere back there she must have hit 4 coins, and didn't realize it. So, when
she came up 4 deuces, she only got paid for the 4 coins, and not 5.

"No problem, anyone can make a mistake"...and the good fellow went away for a minute,
and came back and handed my girlfriend the $50 she thought she had missed.

Now, I know that that is chicken feed to any casino, but that is cool in my book.

Via la Palms.

Great story Susan....very cool of the Palms...

We were playing at Caesars during our last trip and had walked away from a machine after a hand pay....exactly 2 minutes later and only 50 feet away but out of sight of the machine....I remembered that I had not cashed out my remaining $250. I went directly back to the machine and sure enough it was gone. I contacted a slot attendant and recommended they call security and review the security camera film...they did and saw the person who removed the ticket....they paid the money back to me without hesitation and without me asking them to do it. They stated they would followup on the other end. The person who took the ticket apparently did not realize they were stealing from the casino....not from me.....since I had walked away and the cash ticket was no longer in my control....it then belonged to the casino. Thanks to Caesars for being our hero during our absent mindness.
