I think MS gives a very good value but limited in quantity. MS
marketing offers now approach Nevada caliber. Foxwoods stinks. Went
there once in a year to get a gas card but didn't gamble.
Don't think casinos are hurting in Las Vegas. Maybe in
Reno/Tahoe/Lauglin from the growth of gambling in California.
A lot of gamblers are hoping an economic slowdown or fuel costs will
make casinos in Vegas improve value. In the long run the Nevada Gaming
Commission may have shot Las Vegas in the foot by allowing all those
mergers.
If you follow the VPFREE motherboard, you can see quality of games
going downhill. That can increase bottomline in the short run BUT Vegas
is turning into just a bunch of Indian casinos close together. That
really doesn't hurt Harrah's, MGM, Boyd et al. They can make money in
any State.
Gambling is a unique industry. You would think a proliferation of
casinos would provide competition so that gamblers only lose $5/hour
instead of $50/hour. I don't see that happening. Wonder why.

MS and Foxwoods marketing offers pale in comparison to NV in my
opinion. $59 room rate at MS.. big deal. Free tickets suck if you
have bad seats, like I get. I do enjoy the free tickets to Cabaret
but get them very seldom anymore.Use of the lounges are nice.
Many places in Nev give me RFB, airfare, and cash on arrival,
cashback on lv. LV is enjoying record profits and room occupancy
rates. Gambling is deteriorating somewhat because of the biggies,
still good VP can be found, CP for example.Traffic is becoming a
huge problem, I will no longer drive. Many are heading to the
outlying "locals" casinos for these reasons. You are right on about
Reno-LT they are hurting from indiam comp but this is causing some
great marketing offers from them. On recent trip got double air
(2casinos each paid my airfare)!)10 days RFB with suites and $2k
cash on arrival. Harrahs-LT. I never get marketing offers like that
from MS or Foxwoods. I gamble the same everywhere but MS and
Foxwoods just dont need me>
