Kiosk Privacy..

So wanted to know if I'm alone in wanted privacy at the Kiosks?
I have to enter a pin and my points and what I'm doing isn't really anyone's business (at least to me)..So twice in the last week, I've had people get up over my shoulder and comment about what I was doing! I'm so nonplussed, I don't even know the right response. I was a bit rude and just asked if I could have some privacy. So, is it just me or does anyone else concur? Just wanted to know if I'm over-sensitive as I'm very new to Vegas...(finally here) and kinda wondered if this has happened to others or if its just few fluke occurances?

Cam asked. So, I'll answer.

Personally, I couldn't care less if the people around me can see my info on
the screen. So what, if they know I have 253,899 points. They can't use
the points. So what, if they know my PIN. They don't have my card, so
knowing the PIN is useless to them. I'm not concerned about privacy at a
players club kiosk.

I have been approached in casinos many times over the years and have had
many conversations (or, idle chit chat) with many total strangers about a
lot of different subjects. But, I have never had anyone discuss my player
account with me while standing in front of a kiosk.

If someone to talk to me about my player account while at a kiosk, I don't
think I would react any differently than I do when a stranger comments on my
royal flush on the screen while I'm waiting for a hand-pay - or, any other
of thousands of other insignificant chit chat. I see no reason to be rude
to them when players (or employees) talk to me unsolicited. It's harmless
to me.

But, sometimes, if I'm in a bad mood, I may just ignore them. If I don't
reply to them, they get the idea - that I'm not interested in talking with
them. Again, there's no reason to be mean or rude to them.

I was just at the Mount Airy Casino in PA and also had a privacy issue.
Upon inserting your card, you name stays on the screen, for all to see,
along with your accumulated rewards. It is nobody's business buy my own
what my name is, or how much I have gambled. I don't mind my name coming up
for a brief moment, to 'greet' me, but I don't need strangers saying, "Nice
hit, Rob!"
