Kingman Rental Cars

Hi group:

I have an insane couple of friends that know one of the engineers on the Amtrak
Southwest Chief which conveniently goes from Albuquerque to Kingman. They want to
ride the train to Kingman and then rent a car to go to Laughlin for the weekend or maybe
three days. The train is scheduled to get to Kingman after 11:00 p.m. I can find rental car
places in Kingman on the web, but they seem to be out at the airport and I'm wondering if
they will even be open at that hour and especially if they'll take a return at about 2:00 a.m.
when the return train is supposed to be in Kingman. On top of this, the train is almost
always late one way or the other.

Is this idea sounding as bad as I think it is, or should I just gear up for an adventure?
Does anyone know anything about Kingman Rental Cars?

Thanks for any advice.

Drew

Amtrak has a "thruway" bus directly out of Kingman to Laughlin.
Picks you up a few minutes after Amtrak arrives. Go to
www.amtrak.com (note that there is no 'C' in Amtrak).
