Kickers

I have seen the debate over holding a kicker with three Aces (or 2's, 3's & 4's) in Triple Double Bonus.

The simple rule IS to hold the kicker whenever the pay without the kicker is less than 1/4 (11/47 for the mathematical purists : ) the pay with a kicker.

The simple logic IS to calculate (no computer needed) whether 1/47 X 4,000 is greater than (2/47 x 800 + (1/4 x 1/47 x 4000)).

Anyone to whom the 800 coins is such a significant factor shouldn't be playing the game in the first place (imho).

I do not agree. It makes no sense to hold a kicker with 3 bullets.
You cut your chances of getting the 4th ace significantly. If $800
isn't significant to you than maybe you should reevaluate your play.
Unless, of cource, you are a penny player.
