I've read a few articles lately that states that a keno machine jackpot
of 5 out 5 occurs approximately 1550 to 1, about 25 times more often
than a royal with a comparable payout to a royal flush. Are we all
playing the wrong game?

Maybe, Scot, but Keno players don't have all them neat buttons to push. <g>
But seriously, what does a five spot card pay for 0, 1, 2, or 3? And who says you can't have a Keno card going while you're at the vp machine? Then when you hit five you'll have more to feed into the machine! Isn't it fairly common to fund a vp session with Keno winnings? That was in someone's book, wasn't it?

Hmmm ... I had never thought of looking at it that way. And all this
time I'd been avoiding AC JW (5 of a kind jackpot) with a $1000
jackpot expected every 11,000 hands.
