Keeping it non-personal

Our administrator wrote: "Of course you are/were
allowed to respond, if you keep it non-personal ..."

But, then....

Various members posted their *very personal*
feelings about Dan's departure.

Including this one....

So....

Why must Dan Paymar "keep it non-personal" when
others on the list may write whatever they want?

BTW, I still don't understand why this list has a
"keep it non-personal" rule, anyway. It's very
subjective and cannot be enforced. If you banned
each member after they posted a personal comment,
this group's membership would contain one member,
the administrator.
