Re: car insurance. We moved from LV to New Mexico in 2004. Just before we moved we got the bill to renew the registration on our 2000 Honda Odyssey. It was $356.00. The registration here was only $64.50. Insurance there on two cars was nearly $2000 per six months. Here it's about $800.
But remember, if you have an accident and the insurance company can show that you're really a Las Vegas resident, they can legitimately refuse to pay. Also, the state can fine you besides charging back payment on registration. Is it worth the risk?
