I saw the updates for Ameristar and Boonville this morning, thank you to all of you that work to scout out the local casinos!! I visited Isle KC last week and it looks like the inventory is current. Has anyone been to Harrah’s, Argosy, or Hollywood? Anything new at those places? Not overly excited about the current state of VP in KC, but in looking at some of the other places across the country, we aren’t that bad off!! Thanks again everyone for your contributions.

Yes, the inventory at IOC KC is accurate, but... last week (Jan. 27th) they have GREATLY (IMHO) reduced the cashback. For example, the amount of points that I needed to earn $100 cashback has been increased 2.5 fold. To be clear, the amount of money I needed to put through a VP machine to get $100 back, NOW is two and a half times that old amount. I am strongly considering no longer playing in the KC area.

I saw the updates for Ameristar and Boonville this morning, thank you to all of you that work to scout out the local casinos!! I visited Isle KC last week and it looks like the inventory is current. Has anyone been to Harrah's, Argosy, or Hollywood? Anything new at those places? Thanks Dave! So the players club has changed fairly significantly?! Did they reduce the cashback for 2,000 pts or did they raise the coin-in per point on the vp machines? Currently platinum and very concerned on this reduction!! I had heard that there were big changes coming, but wasn’t sure what they were. I had also heard that coupons would go up, but from the ones that i received in the mail I experienced the opposite. Interested to see how the numbers shake out on this. We are going this week, but if the percentages have dropped quite a bit, we may concentrate our play elsewhere. I wish Harrah’s had some plays at dollars.
To my knowledge Harrah’s have no full pay machines. They had a couple multi-play quarter with 9/5 JOB we played a little to keep current with our points. Last time I was there those machines were missing.
Nothing good at Ameristar. They have reduced the number of progressive machines, short pay but sometimes worth it. We rarely go there anymore.
Nothing good at the Hollywood on the Kansas side either. Too bad for that one is just a few miles from our house.
Its sister casino on the Missouri side, Argosy, had some 8/5 Bonus in triple and five play at the dollar level but we have not been there for some time.
IOC is the best bet for full pay VP.

Pat,
At the Isle you earn points the same as before, but now you need 5,000 points for $5 instead of 2,000. Let me know if you find something better than full pay Pickem.
Upstairs at Harrahs they have Suited Royals Progressive at dollars. Last weekend 2 Royals were over $10,000 and a third one was over $8,000. I hit the fourth one for $4,171 so the game was still good after I left. The best base game is 9/5 DDB, but I rarely see 3 royals get so high.

Thank you Rick and Lucy! IOC should have the best considering they are the only one without connected hotel, they offered a room at the Ramada on Front street, but that is almost as far as driving over from Ameristar. Oh well, off to vegas in two weeks and finding full-pay won’t be a problem! Guess we will stop by at IOC on Friday to play a little pick’em and see how bad they have destroyed the player’s club. Thank you again for your help!!
That hurts!! Is it still $10 in food for 2,000 pts or did that go up to 5,000 also? Their pick’em game is by far the best game in KC though! I’m intrigued by the Harrah’s progressive! I have a couple of buddies that play those when they go there, but when they said 9/5 DDB, I stuck my AP nose up in the air. I should have contemplated the percentages though! Variance would be a big dog, but one hit on one of the big ones and life would be good! Congrats on your hit! Guess we will give IOC some play and play at Ameristar to keep our room offers. Might swing by and take a shot at Harrah’s, I’ve heard they throw some decent cash coupons at you when you first start playing with them, and it’s been over 5 years! Thank you again!
