Not too long ago I posted that my host said that gift baskets,
discretionary comps, cookies, etc. were being cut at Harrah's, L.V.
by August. After that post, some said they received all
those "goodies" on subsequent trips.
To be fair to Harrah's and those on this group, I think it only just
to let you know it's not true; (at least at this point.)
This past weekend, I went to Harrah's, LV to pick up a laptop that
was offered and to get away from a monumental birthday date. A small
collection of tiered goodies were delivered to my room along w/ small
bottles of Pepsi and Sierra Mist. (The goodies were substantially
smaller than on previous visits but other than the chocolate were
never eaten. What woman can resist chocolate! But I digress.)
Every evening, cookies were delivered to the room. My host also sent
up a birthday basket of filled with snacks that I munched on the way
home. (I wish THAT stuff were in the regular "baskets" `cause I
pigged out.)
If indeed, this is being monitored by Harrah's, perhaps a "re-think"
was issued. If that is the case, perhaps there is hope that sounder
minds are at work or at least being listened to for the moment.
As for the monumental birthday away by myself it was historic for
me. (I like to think the stars were on my side, rather than the 8-8-
08 "lucky date.) I got two royals; aces w/ kicker twice; more quads
than I could keep track of and came home with enough to do all the
things in the house I want! It was a fantasy trip as far as gambling.
