I have no personal experience with advantage slot play, but I have read that advantage slot play was at one time possible and quite profitable. I wouldn't venture a guess as to the plausibility of the bankroll requirements that were mentioned.

logic. It's based on a weighted system of (a) overall historical
play, (b) medium-term play (ie - the last 2-3 months), and, (c) most
importantly, recent play. As far as I can tell, denomination and/or
choice of game makes no difference - it's purely based on coinin.
I'm a (mainly) quarter pickem player, and do about $200K annual
coinin. I try to maximize my comp value by scheduling my visits so I
can eat at Willows as often as possible. The only way I know I'm
getting max comp value is to be refused a meal. This happens once or
twice a year, so I guess I'm milking it pretty well.
The toughest meal comp is just after I've been out of town for a week
or two, and haven't given them any "recent" action. MORAL - use up
your food comps - they have a short shelf life!
Overall, I estimate food comps to be worth between 0.5% and 0.6% for
us low rollers. This assumes you use them as you go, like I do.
If you're a high roller (estimated $100K+ monthly coinin) you get
invited to special VIP events (usually in the upstairs dining rooms,
or at the trackside tent, but occasionally including Maple Leaf
hockey games, etc. These are fancy spreads with steak and lobster,
full bar service, etc. These are apparently not counted against their
comp accounts.

north (Thunder Bay), the best pay schedule on Pick 'em is 96.6%, which
needless to say a losing proposition. In fact, all the pay schedules on
all the Quarter Game King's various games are set right at about 96 to
97%...just curious as to whether other locations around Ontario are set
up the same way, or is Thunder Bay unique (of course you can't get on
the Game Kings to play VP anyway because everybody's on them playing
Keno, but that's another story)

but zero video poker.

pickem at all for $.25
Mohawk Raceway has shortpay (96%) Pickem for .25 and $1.
Woodbine has fullpay at .25, .50. 1.00. 2.00 and 5.00.

No, my interest is in adding all playable games found in Ontario to
the database.
The term "playable" is, of course, relative. I think Tom's objective
is to list all positive games. Lacking positive plays, he often lists
the "best available play" - BUT - if the best available is , for
example, 96%, who really cares?
I focused on the racinos because (a)I think we already have a pretty
good handle on what's available at the "major" casinos, and (b) most
of the racinos have Pickem - problem is it could be fullpay or
shortpay. Only way to know is to have someone scout them.
