just how good was my session(s)?

had my best weekend ever at the Silver Legacy, and am wondering just how much of an aberration it was...

Played about 15 hours of five-play quarter 10/6 DDB, at max coin (10 per hand). I realize this is a volatile game, so perhaps just as easily it could have gone the other way, but

6 Royal Flushes
2 Aces with Kickers
and, towards the end, dealt
4 As with kicker, a $5000 payoff. Machine did not lock up, took me a second to absorb what I had been dealt!

Setting aside how well I did, I love those machines -- lots of neat sounds and liked the fact the speed could be varied, even hand to hand. (there are four speeds, and I usually played one under Turbo, the fastest speed).

of course ended with 19K in taxables, which hurts, but even after paying taxes I come out ahead much better than if I had played five coins.

Started with a 2K bankroll, but only touched 1K of that.

So when can I expect this again :). Hope everybody else has done this well -- I met Glen Chee at the SL, btw, very nice guy.

Just an aside, but I cringe when seeing w-2G's referred to as
"taxables". A $2K hit is no more (nor less) taxable than a $200 one
for the gambler who files a 1040 Sch A ("itemizes").

Anyone who finds that they're holding onto one or more w2-G's at tax
time and isn't confident on how to file in the manner that reduces any
tax exposure should check out "Tax Help for the Frugal Gambler" by
Jean Scott and Marissa Chien.

Well, Lucky, with good fortune sitting at your side, you can
anticipate another run like this in about..........3 years! (-:

Seriously, no when knows when the VP Goddess of Royal Flushes (AND
Aces & Deuces) will show up again. If we did we'd only play on
those days. That is, unless we are SO addicted that we'd play even
if we KNEW that we'd lose! I KNOW that none of us knowledgeable
players would ever do that! (-:

Yeah. I love them also. However, I have left major portions of my
derriere on those comfy seats! You were much more clever.

So when can I expect this again :).

Glenn is the best! Always, friendly and helpful to all! He was one
of my first friends on vpFREE, and a real gentleman! I'm looking
forward to seeing him again, in a few weeks, in Reno.

Congratulations to you, Michael! I hope that your luck contains.

Best regards,
~Babe~
