Just got home from Angiogram

I have orders to rest today - but I don't count computer work as too
unrestful!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have the cleanest arteries on planet
earth - so it must have been goblins acting up in my chest. Acid reflux
sounds downright comforting after all this!

Actually Brad (AKA Tom) is the one that needed to rest. When we got home
from the hospital, he hit the couch and hasn't moved since. I think I will
go watch him and see how to really relax!

Thanx SO much to everyone who expressed their concern. But now you can find someone who is really sick to worry about!

There are so many nice and caring people on these two VP lists!!!!! I certainly want to thank everyone for their interest and concern.

I have been reading a lot recently by Deepak Chopra, my favorite author, and I have especially been fascinated by his book "How to Know God." As many of you know, I was raised in a fundamentalist minister's home, where very narrow-thinking was the gold standard. It has taken me a very long time to find the joy and peace that thinking outside that box can bring.

Good thoughts ARE powerful - whether you call them prayers or something else. Labels divide people and cause strife. We are all in this world together - like it or not. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone stopped thinking in labels and saw ourselves as part of just one glorious whole?

Welcome to the world of the peaceable kingdom.

SOunds like you had a real revelation.

I think the earlier in life people have this sort of revelation, the
better the odds are they can live a more stress-free life.

I generally choose activities that put me in this "place" - music,
VP, even the people I spend my time with.

I observe the more mature writers on this forum are adept at stating
their point-of-view without negating others' points of view. Hard to
find a manual for this talent, but it's a learned skill.

Labels are easier on the mind: makes issues black & white. Most folks
are uncomfortable with the true blurriness of reality.
