6a. Just got back.....Same old story

I've been going to LV for 27 years and playing video poker the right way for
the past 20. We usually go to Vegas at least twice a year. I've got WinPoker
and practice till I can play Dueces pretty close to 100% accurate.
I've hit the 4 Ducks about 10 times now.
The only Royal I ever got was on the Texas Holdem video poker machines that
the Horseshoe had. Went back the next year and they had taken these out of
circulation. It was an easy game to beat in my opinion.
Perhaps my lack of good luck stems from my superstition of always peeing in
the number 3 or 5 urinal. "Stems from the old 3-5 joke".
Well, this year I tried number 1 urinal to no avail as well as number 2 and
4. Same Results.
In fairness I only played Dueces Wild at the Palms for about 7 hours total
this time. Played at Main Street another hour or so.
Oh well, I'm looking forward to returning in October. My wife has a
conference and I sure couldn't let her go alone. LOL.

I think I know your problem - Which way do you face when you use the urinals?
Actually, you should try the stalls.
At least you're still going to the bathroom, so you don't have a complete "dry spell".
But seriously, dry spells, including "never a royal", can happen. My best friend introduced me to VP, at which I scoffed for years until I finally tried it. He had gotten several royals; I went several years before I got one (the good news is, I was working for comps and had just moved up to $5!). Then I started getting them and he went dry for years, then back the other way.
He has a cousin who routinely gets one or two every trip, two or three trips a year.
To make it worse, he always calls us to tell us about his second one each trip.
And it's all just random variation, assuming you're playing correctly -- but we all will agree that when random doesn't go your way, it's not much fun.
